How do the 2 free months work?

- Use every lesson, at every level, for 2 months.
- After 2 months it's $9/mo. Cancel before then from Settings and you pay nothing.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Yes, Stripe asks for a card when you start your free months, but you pay $0 today. Cancel any time in the first 2 months and you're never charged.
What happens after the 2 free months?
After 2 months your plan renews at $9/mo on the card you entered. Cancel anytime before then from Settings and you won't be charged. Readings and flashcards stay free either way.
What's the difference between Focused Lessons and All Access?
Focused Lessons is one course: you choose Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese or English at checkout, and the other courses stay locked apart from their free lessons. All Access opens every course for $15/mo.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Focused Lessons is $90/yr, the price of 10 months for 12, so you save 2 months. All Access is $135/yr, the price of 9 months for 12. Yearly billing starts straight away (the 2 free months are for monthly Focused Lessons) and you can turn off renewal anytime in Settings.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings → Your plan → Cancel plan. It takes a minute and there's nobody to call. You keep access until the end of your current month, free or paid, and you aren't charged again. Changed your mind? Resume it from the same page.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled case by case. Contact us through the Support page with your account email and the charge you're asking about. See our Terms for details.
Which levels are covered?
All six: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Mastery, Professional & Academic. Not sure where you fit? The free placement test suggests a starting level, and you can switch levels at any time.
What's free without a plan?
The first lessons of every course (all of Unit 1 at Beginner, and the first lesson of each level), graded readings and flashcards are free, no account needed. With a free account you also get review, grammar guides, exam practice papers and the placement tests. The conjugators, glossaries, vocabulary lists and other study tools come with a plan.
