Drill: Who's Who: Jobs and People

Say what people do, ask about someone's job, and address people by surname and title, from single words to short exchanges.

What this drill practises

Twelve items on jobs and titles: two gaps, a listening item, then nine sentences to say in Chinese, ending with a question and its answer.

Tip: a job follows 是 with nothing for "a" (她是医生), and a title follows the surname (王医生, 陈小姐). Ask with the set question 你做什么工作? and answer with 是, not 做.

Try it yourself

Write a sentence or two using what this lesson covered. Not graded -- just for you, saved so you can come back to it.

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
