了, 过, 着 or 在? Choosing the Aspect

Write a postcard (50–120 characters) from a city you're visiting for the first time: what you've done there, where you've been before, what's going on as you write, and what you can see around you.

  • Use 了 for something that happened on the trip
  • Use 过 for an earlier experience (去过, 没来过)
  • Use 在 or 正在 for what's going on now
  • Use 着 for a state or the way something is done (挂着, 打着伞)

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
