She Speaks Chinese Well: 得 with an Object

Your friend Li Ming (李明) wants to work at a children's summer camp. Write a short recommendation (50–120 characters) to the camp's director, Teacher Zhang (张老师): what he does well, how well, and one thing he doesn't do so well.

  • Say how well someone does something with verb + 得 + description
  • Use 得 with an object in both orders: repeat the verb (讲故事讲得…) or put the object first (英语说得…)
  • Use a negative with 得 (…得不太好)
  • Write politely to the reader (您好, 我想推荐…)

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
