Writing practice

Almost: 差点儿

Write a diary entry (150–280 characters) about a day full of near misses: things that very nearly went wrong, something you only just managed, and what almost everyone around you did.

  • 差点儿 + verb for something unwanted that nearly happened
  • 差点儿没 + verb for something you wanted and only just managed
  • 几乎 for amounts: almost everyone, almost all day
  • 并不 or 并没有 to contradict an assumption

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
