Writing practice

In the End: 结果

Write a short anecdote (150–280 characters) for your blog about a day that didn't go to plan: what you had originally planned, what you thought would happen, how one thing led to another, and how it turned out in the end.

  • 本来 for the original plan and 以为 for what you wrongly thought
  • 结果 as a linker for how things turned out
  • 于是 to move the story on from one event to the next
  • Time words such as 后来 and 最后 to order the events

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
