Your colleague 王芳 asked why you were off work last week. Write her a message explaining what happened: you fell ill or had an accident, what the doctors did, and how you are now. Say what caused it, what saved you from something worse, and what you've changed since.
- Linking the story with 于是 and 结果
- 幸亏…不然 / 否则 for the lucky escape, and 难怪 or 怪不得 + 原来 for a realisation
- A cause verb (导致, 引起 or 造成) and 从此 for the turning point
- Hospital words: 治疗, 打针, 手术, 护士, 体检 or 检测, and 醒过来 / 晕过去
