Unit 10 review

Your Chinese teacher has asked each student to write a short piece for the class magazine: 'How I learn Chinese'. Describe what you find hardest (vocabulary, grammar, speaking, reading) and especially what gives you trouble, the methods that have worked for you, a time you nearly gave up, and the advice you'd give a beginner. Use at least two four-character idioms. Write 200-350 characters.

  • Name the skills with 词汇, 语法, 口语 and 阅读, and single one out with 尤其 / 尤其是.
  • Describe your methods with 积累, 熟练 and 专心, and a condition with 只要…就.
  • Use at least two 成语 in the right role (e.g. 半途而废, 熟能生巧, 一举两得, 三心二意).
  • Generalise with 一般来说 and finish with advice for a beginner.

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
