Beliefs and Festivals
You spent a traditional Chinese festival (the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival or the Spring Festival) with a Chinese family. Write an email (150–300 characters) to a friend at home: the legend behind the festival, the customs you took part in, and one belief people mentioned.
- 传说 or 据说 to retell a legend or a belief
- Festival vocabulary: 纪念, 风俗, 习俗, 保佑 or 象征
- 是为了 or 用来 to explain why a custom exists
