Would Rather … Than: 宁可…也不…
You and your partner are planning a week's holiday and can't agree: one of you wants a packed city tour, the other a quiet week by the sea. Write a dialogue (150–300 characters) in which you argue it out and reach a decision. Use 与其…不如… to recommend one option and 宁可…也不… / 宁可…也要… to show what each of you is willing to give up.
- 与其 A,不如 B to recommend B over A
- 宁可…也要… for a cost you'll accept to get what you want
- 宁可…也不… for something you refuse even at a cost
- A 不如 B for a plain comparison
