Your company newsletter has asked staff for a short piece on the question 'Why do most people give up their New Year resolutions?' Write it (300–500 characters): give at least two causes in order, explain how one thing leads to another, draw a conclusion from your evidence, suggest what to do instead, and sum up.
- Ordered reasons: 首先…其次…最后 or 一来…二来…
- Result first with 之所以…是因为…, or the cause with 原因在于
- Links between steps: 从而, 进而 or 因而
- A conclusion and a summary: 可见 / 由此可见, 关键在于 or 取决于, and 总之
