Unit 9 review
You were cheated by an online seller or robbed while travelling in China. Write a statement (300–500 characters) for the police or a consumer-rights office: say exactly what happened, when, where and how, what you lost, what you have already done, and what you want them to do.
- Passives: 被 (with or without the doer), at least one 叫 / 让 / 给 or 被…给, and 遭到 or 受到
- 是…的 for the details (when, where, how) and 确实 or 的确 to confirm a fact
- Crime vocabulary: 骗 / 骗子 / 上当, 偷 / 抢, 报警, 线索, 证据
- A firm, polite demand: 希望…依法处理, 要求赔偿 or a rhetorical 凭什么…?
