Writing practice

Written Time Words: 已, 曾, 正, 将, 仍, 尚未

You're in charge of the renovation of your company's new office. Write a short progress report (150–300 characters) for your colleagues in written style: what has been done, what is under way, what hasn't started yet, what problem remains, and when everyone will move in. Use 已, 正, 尚未, 仍 and 将.

  • 已 for completed work and 曾 for something that once happened
  • 正 or 正在 for work under way
  • 尚未 for what hasn't happened yet, and 仍 for a problem that remains
  • 将 or 将于 for the future

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
