Be Sure To: 务必, 千万, 切记
You're going away for two weeks and a friend is staying in your flat to look after your cat. Write a note (150–300 characters) to leave on the kitchen table: what to do each day, what they must never do, and what to do if something goes wrong. Use 务必, 千万 and 切记, and 免得 or 省得.
- 务必 for things that must be done
- 千万 + 别 / 不能 for an urgent warning
- 切记 for the one thing to remember above all
- 免得 or 省得 for what an action avoids
