The Reason Why …: 之所以…是因为…
You're applying for a scholarship to study in China. Write the paragraph of your personal statement (150–300 characters) that explains why you chose your subject. Put the result first with 之所以…是因为…, order your reasons with 首先, 其次 and 最后, and finish with what you hope to do.
- 之所以…是因为… with the result first and the reason second, at least once
- 首先, 其次 and 最后 to order three reasons
- Concrete experience behind each reason (亲眼看到, 参加过)
- A closing sentence about your plans with 希望 or 打算
