Defining Terms: 所谓…是指, 简称, 定义为
A Chinese online encyclopedia is looking for short entries written by learners. Write an entry (200–400 characters) defining a concept from your field, such as 碳足迹 (carbon footprint), 零工经济 (the gig economy) or 职业倦怠 (burnout). Define it, give another name for it, distinguish it from a related term, and give an example.
- 所谓…是指… or …被定义为… for the definition
- 又称, 简称 or 也叫 for other names, and 可分为 for types
- A distinction from a related term (与…不同, 而…则…)
- An example (以…为例) in a neutral academic register
