Advanced Medicine
Your uncle has just been diagnosed with an early-stage cancer and offered a place in a clinical trial of a new drug. He's asked you to help him understand it. Write him an email (200–400 characters) explaining in plain but accurate Chinese what the trial is, its possible benefits and risks, and what questions he should ask the doctor.
- Medical vocabulary: 确诊, 临床试验, 副作用, 复发
- How a trial works: 随机, 对照组, 自愿, 退出
- Benefits and risks set out fairly
- Concrete questions to ask the doctor
