Your friend 小静 (Xiǎo Jìng), 30, writes to you: her parents keep pushing her to marry a man with a good job whom she doesn't love, and she feels wronged and confused. Write her a reply (400–700 characters). Show you understand her feelings, gently question her parents' reasoning, put the pressure in perspective, and give her one piece of advice.
- Rhetorical questions, at least one literary: 何必, 岂不是, 何尝, 难道 or 谁不
- Gentle contradiction or explanation: 不是…吗 and 还不是因为…
- Playing the pressure down with 不过…而已 or 只是…罢了
- Attitude and relationship words: 委屈, 勉强, 在意, 嫁, 婚姻, 缘分, 伴侣, 跟…过日子
