Unit 9 review

Your company is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. Write (1) a formal invitation letter to an important client and (2) the short opening speech you'll give at the celebration (400–700 characters in total).

  • Invitation: a formal salutation (尊敬的…), the event announced with 兹定于, the programme with 届时, and a request to reply with 敬请
  • Honorific and humble forms: 贵公司, 光临, 拨冗, 恭候, 本公司 or 敝公司, and 荣幸
  • Written single-character words (需, 须, 凭, 均, 如) for the practical details
  • Speech: the ceremonial frame (尊敬的各位来宾, 隆重举行, 请允许我代表…, 衷心感谢, 致以…敬意, 祝…) and a warm closing wish (心想事成)

Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
