Unit 20 review

A culture magazine asks readers for a review (400–700 characters) of a film adapted from a novel. Write one about a film you know or one you invent: say briefly what it is about, analyse the main character and the theme, judge the acting, the script and the camera work against the book, and include a short portrait of the lead character as a writer would sketch them.

  • Analysis vocabulary: 主题, 塑造, 人物形象, 情节, 叙述, 象征 or 揭示
  • Film vocabulary: 改编自, 主演, 演技, 剧情, 镜头, 编剧, 上映, 票房
  • At least two four-character evaluations: 引人入胜, 扣人心弦, 耐人寻味, 别具匠心, 惊心动魄 or 美中不足
  • A short portrait with appearance and manner: 眉毛, 眼神, 嘴唇, 举止, 姿态, 气质 or 风采
