Unit 21 review
Your city has just held an international marathon, and you have been chosen to speak for the volunteers at the closing ceremony. Write your speech (400–700 characters): address the audience correctly, thank the organisers, tell one moment you witnessed during the race, say what it meant, and close with good wishes.
- A formal opening and close:
- One concrete story told with the language of sport:
- Speech rhetoric: 排比 or a paired sentence (我们见证了…,也见证了…), and a quotation (正如…所说)
- A consistent formal register, with the meaning drawn out: 不只是…
Pick with a tap, a number key or Space. A Chinese keyboard on your device works in the box below too.
