The Quiz Night

Every Thursday, there is a quiz night at a pub in London. Tonight, there are eight teams. One team is new: four students from a language school. Their team name is The Terrible English. Ravi is from India, Carla is from Brazil, Jun is from Korea and Nico is from Argentina.

The first question: "How many days are there in a year?" "Easy!" Jun says. "Three hundred and sixty-five." The second question: "When is Christmas?" "The twenty-fifth of December," Carla writes. "What is the capital of Australia?" "Sydney!" Nico says. "No, Canberra," Ravi says. Ravi is right.

Then the food questions. "Where is pizza from?" "Italy." "What color is a banana?" "Yellow... or green!" The hard questions are about dates. "When is Saint Patrick's Day?" Nobody knows. "What time is it in Tokyo now?" Jun looks at his phone. "It is six in the morning."

At the end, the quiz master reads the results. "In first place, with forty points, The Teachers! In second place, with thirty-six points, Tea and Books. And in eighth place, with twenty-one points..." "The Terrible English!" Ravi laughs.

"We are last," Carla says. "Yes, but we are not terrible," Nico says. "Our English is good! And the fries are great." Jun is happy too. "Next Thursday, same time? Eight o'clock?" "Eight o'clock," everybody says.
